The Early years.
My 1962 Falcon was originally purchased by Bloomington Independent School District #18 from the Hull-Dobbs Ford dealership in Minneapolis, MN. It was built at the Kansas City assembly plant in March of 1962. My Grandmother became the 3rd owner of the car in (Date) and when she died in 1973, my Dad got the car. My Dad used it as his car to drive back and forth to work and for short trips around home as a more economical alternative to his 1968 Ford Station Wagon. Over the years, my Dad had done some work to the brakes and to the engine (get details from him).
When my older brother approached driving age in the late 70's, my Dad gave him the car and he started disassembly of it to do some bodywork. Shortly thereafter, my brother boughta 1966 Galaxy from my uncle (the car had been bought new by my Grandfather Walt Bappe). The Galaxy had a 352 V-8 which my brother preferred over the Falcon's weak 144 inline six. The Falcon would languish in its disassembled state for another 7 years.
